Tartare For Starter is a paracademic research series of seminars and conferences initiated through the working of UNDO – critical cultural foundation that manifests itself primarily through the form of a quarterly journal. Conducting a near-archaeology of the global critical theory bibliography Tartare For Starter focuses on a mode of collective, analytical yet clandestine reading of texts alongside an examination of local to Cyprus cultural practises. Borowing constituting elemnets of the academic research seminar, as is the scheduled meeting and the set core bibliography, Tartare For Starter is at the same time disregarding the will for a regulated production of knowledge. Instead it aims to introduce, in various degrees, to the Cypriot cultural modalities a methodology best described as a disqualification of naivete- as this appears to set a paramount stronghold in the above mentioned proceses- and in turn by means of rigorous, philosophically intransigent analyses, and by means of the inscription of marks which no longer belong to philosophical space, not even to the neighborhood of its other [...] to write otherwise.
